Overview
Click for Shutters panels are warranted against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential, interior use. Cover runs from 3 to 10 years depending on the component — structural PVC integrity is covered for longer than paint finish or moving hardware, which is standard across the plantation shutter industry. To keep your warranty valid, panels need to be installed correctly, measured accurately, and cleaned and cared for the way our guides describe. This page sets out exactly what's covered, for how long, and what can void it — it sits alongside, and doesn't replace, section 7 of our Terms & Conditions.
What's covered, and for how long
- Structural PVC & panel materials — 10 years. Covers cracking, splitting, warping or rotting of the panel profile under normal indoor conditions.
- Paint & colour finish — 3 years. Covers peeling, fading or colour loss beyond normal ageing when panels are cleaned and used as directed.
- Hardware & moving parts — 3 years. Covers hinges, louvre pins, tilt rods and other moving components against mechanical failure under normal use.
Where a fault is covered, we'll repair or replace the affected panel or component — whichever gets your shutters back to spec fastest.
Conditions to keep your warranty valid
- Correct installation. Panels must be installed following our install guide, whether you're fitting them yourself or using a tradesperson.
- Accurate measurements. Order using our design centre measurements, or take up an Expert Review before manufacturing if you're at all unsure — see section 3 of our Terms & Conditions.
- Gentle, correct cleaning. Dust or wipe panels with a soft, dry or slightly damp microfibre cloth. Avoid abrasive pads, scouring cloths, harsh chemical solvents or pressure washing.
- Normal residential, interior use. Panels are designed for indoor use in typical Australian home conditions.
- Keep your order details. Have your order confirmation email or order number on hand when you make a claim — it's how we confirm your cover dates.
What voids or limits the warranty
- Damage from incorrect self-installation, or installation by someone who didn't follow our install guide.
- Modifications or alterations made to panels, frames, hinges or other hardware after delivery.
- Exposure outside normal interior use — direct weather, outdoor or marine exposure, or sustained high-humidity environments beyond what the product is rated for.
- Accidental damage, misuse, abuse, impact damage, or damage caused by pets.
- Cleaning with abrasive materials, harsh chemical solvents, or pressure washing.
- Normal wear and tear, and minor colour variation that falls within expected ageing.
None of the above affects your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which are explained in section 8 of our Terms & Conditions and can't be excluded by this warranty.
Making a claim
Contact us with your order number, a description of the issue and a few photos, and we'll assess it and arrange a repair or replacement as appropriate.
